The cockatiel
on the right was found in a dumpster. When he got to the shelter
he
met the bird on the left and they are now a happy couple. Their names
are Sam and Sammie.
Patti and Steve Ashenbremer adopted these two cockatiels for their granddaughter
Chelsea.
Thank You Chelsea, Steve & Patti for giving
these 2 a home! |

Update
from Lyne Paulsen on "Sailor"
Sailor
has really come along and has new friends, Angelrose (the Greenwing
picture below), adopted
October 2006, who is helping Sailor to be (if possible!) more vocal
and less screaming, and Gemma, who joined the flock in September
of 2007 and has brought the greatest change in Sailor's personality.
Sailor
now has a 'replacement' for the bonded buddy that she has missed
for years, and her new attitude with people and other birds in the
flock has been a dramatic change for the better.
Thanks
for the update Lyne, and thanks for giving unwanted birds a home!

Below
are some pictures of Cricket sent by her adopted mom, Debbie.
Debbie says, "She is doing very well..
she is very moody ..But I think the reason is that we found out that she is
almost deaf.
We have starting signing and have been doing well commucating to each other.
Cricket kept geting off her cage and walking to my bathroom closet
so we made her ..her own closet..she loves her box."
Thank
you Debbie, for giving Cricket a great home!

The
above 2 Cockatiels named newly Lavergne & Shirley, (pictured on the
left) were adopted at our First Open House Event, by a very nice family
who specifically wanted the most "unwanted".
Diane & Vince were kind enough to send the above photos from their
home. They also have a Budgie, Parrotlet and Senegal. The Senegal is pictured
on the Member's photo gallery page.
Thank
You, Diane and Vince, for giving these unwanted birds a caring home!

Lyne
Paulsen adopted Sailor (Blue & Gold, pictured above) from our program
earlier this year. Sailor is now Sally-Sailor since he is defintely a She.
Lyne says Sally-Sailor is doing very well and coming out of her shell.
Thank
You Lyne, for keeping in touch
and giving Sailor a home! |
Don
Diego, Miligold Macaw pictured above, was adopted by Cheryl & Jo Schaffer
at our March Meeting. He looks a little "sassy" in this photo
taken at our shelter before he left, but he is really happy in his new
home.
Thanks,
Cheryl & Jo! |

Sam...was
adopted by Marleen and David at the May Meeting. Sam was a bit skiddish
at first but is settling in well at his new home and loves to be petted.
He especially likes David.
Thanks,
